• Personal Information: 

The university needs personal identifiable information gathered through the application forms and admission office counseling and interviews to help the institution in dealing with the right person in a professional manner. The application form is a must for a very student to fill in order to provide this information needed for the institution to make an informed decision. Lack of such information or failure to provide all necessary information at the application stage will results in delay of decisions or possible refusal of the applicants with notice. The essential information includes but not limited to official names, national Identification or passport copy as a proof, details of education background, employment and social background, faith background and references. Such details are critical for every application processes not only at the degree and diploma levels but equally for the short courses and mentorship programs.

• Use and disclosure of personal information. 

At CETOCIL, we work in collaboration with the network of Christian institutions across the globe and some of the courses come directly from our partner institutions. As such, we are obligated to share the information of our students confidentially with our partner institutions on a need basis especially when the student seeks certification or doing a course from one of our partner institutions. As such, we would like to remind the student that, by filling out the application form and getting in contact with our admission and counseling officer, you will be asked to sign an information-sharing consent form which will allow us to share the information to either the specific institution, ministry, or the network. Rest assured that our confidentiality and data protection policy cover our student’s information as well and ensures that, the information is kept secure unless otherwise requested by our students to be published or where the institution policies allow, such as in Thesis and journal publications. Other than that, your information will be used mainly for admission purposes and the subsequent processes of your academic journey with us.

• Authenticated Documents

CETOCIL has an open policy which allows you to submit your application attaching the copies of your original certificates without worrying about authentication if not authenticated already. However, one must have the academic references and the certificates must be in English or with official translation provided by the issuing institution if written in another language. The basis of this policy is to allow the students remain calm during their application processes and to be sure that, whatever they submitted to the university is their true certification. Our admission team do conduct thorough analysis and background checks of our student’s academic certificates submitted before reaching a decision of acceptance to the program of the application. Please allows minimum of two weeks to hear from the admission and counseling office about your application. The time will be taken to review your application and ascertain the authenticity of your documents before being accepted into the program.

• Transfer from other university/colleges.

We understand that many students would love to transform their lives and faith by entering into CETOCIL community, we welcome and embrace you in advance for that remarkable choice no matter your background. We want to assure you that, transferring from another institution to CETOCIL should never be a problem and it is a great choice you have made that you will live not only to remember but appreciate. There is however a policy at CETOCIL that government the transfer processes and how it is handled, you will be guided by our admission and counseling office. However, for the purpose of your application, we want to let you know that your academics documents must include the testimonial of your results (courses taken so far) from the academic registrar office of the institution you are transferring from. This official testimonial will be used by our admission team to evaluate your level of study and recommends the next course of action to the academics including possible exemptions of some credits where feasible. You will be asked to provide a justification statement of your transfer which has to be signed by you and submitted alongside application form. Please consult with the admission and counseling office if something is not clear or when you have questions.

• Mature age admission process.

At CETOCIL, leadership and social transformation are the core anchors of our values, and the target is mainly the leaders, social workers, mentors, consultants, entrepreneurs, agents of change, peacebuilding and innovators among other leaders who need to be nurtured and shaped to reach their potential where they would transform the world around them. These principles allow us not to dwell only on the academic performance and but mainly intelligence, competency, talents and dedication which are not gained only by completing certain levels of academics but through gifts, spiritual discernment and leader trait in a person. By this understanding, we have the policy of admitting the learners of mature age irrespective of the cutting requirements as long as they have attained a level of academic that is permissible by the higher education and have fulfilled the requirements for the mature age admission in accordance with our policies. Please get in contact with our Admission and Counseling Office for guidance before applying on the ticket of mature age admission.

• Different Application forms and their use

Do not be surprised, CETOCIL is a community and network of different institutions operating globally and in Africa. We have different applications forms based on the schools and courses, as well as specialized programs. The following application forms are available from the Admission and Counseling office and shall be given accordingly. We ask our aspiring students to always check with the Admissions and Counseling office before filling any of the application form as some of the forms are online.

• CETOCIL long form (General for all CETOCIL degree and Diploma programs)
• CETOCIL short form (General and mostly for distance and online courses)
• CETOCIL-GU Application form (for Global University Courses)
• CETOCIL-Ministry Application form (For special mentorships and certification courses under the ministry)
• CETOCIL specialized courses form (for specific short courses and leadership development program by the university)
