The university is a flagship institute of CETOCIL, the Center for Transformation and Christian Leadership Ministry ceto-cil.org, established to provide holistic Christian-based and transforming higher education. Our purpose is to provide a holistic education that contributes to social justice, leadership transformation, and change by “Equipping Christian and Community Leaders for Discipleship, Transformation, and Social Development.”  

Leadership development has remained a major limitation of the church mission in Africa especially in the areas like South Sudan, and Sudan among others as many pastors and church leaders lack the training and skills needed to carry on the mission of Christ among the people. It is worth noting that, before the Lord could be crucified, he taught his disciples in different ways including sending them on praxis to sharpen their skills and gain their confidence of themselves in their mission (Matthew 10).

At CETOCIL, we raise and train leaders who are missional-oriented and pastoral caregivers in every walk of life. We love to see the church and community leaders who are of the traits that Jesus requires of us, being imitators of Christ in his humble leadership as depicted in Philippians 2. Jesus urged his disciples to embrace servanthood and humility as the major traits of Christian leadership (Matthew 20:25-28).  We believe that knowledge transforms people, and it is through providing avenues for the understanding and learning of God’s word that we can raise strong, dedicated, God-loving, and transformed leaders who can contribute effectively and lead the mission of Christ to transform the communities they come from.

The university provides Christian-based globally accredited programs in theology and mission, interdisciplinary studies, and marketplace training, especially in business programs. The university is part of the international network of most Global Universities and offers other courses through partnerships with theological institutions.
